Venue: The Village Hall, 178 North Deeside Road, Peterculter, AB14 0UD
The tournament will have 2 sections and is open to all young people of school age.
Players will be allocated to section based on their live allegro grade on the day of the tournament. Ungraded players may be placed in the Open section if it's deemed appropriate to do so.
All games will be graded on the Chess Scotland allegro list.
The usual best prizes of Trophies, Grading Medals and Certificates will be available. In addition the top 5 placed in each section will qualify for the Top Scot Final on Saturday 31st January 2026 where the prize fund will be
£1200.

Players are requested to be at the venue at 9.45am for registration

Time Control is 15 mins + 10 sec increment per player.
Players from any chess federation may participate in qualifiers and final. However to win the title and any prize money, players should be registered to the Scotland (SCO) Fed.
The organiser reserves the right to change the prizes, venue, timings and any other feature of the tournament to ensure its smooth running.
